AQUATIC COURSES FOR LIFEGUARDS

*Trainings will be conducted at the West Scranton Intermediate School pool, Fellows Street and Parrot Ave, Scranton.

The following are the trainings and training dates:

#11 WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR (R.09)

Starts: May 14th at 8am  Cost: $200.00

WSI candidates MUST contact Les Richards at (570)489-1172 or (570)510-4816 before returning the form.  Course fee includes all necessary materials for the WSI course and the Fundamentals of Instructor Training course requirements:  16 years of age and must be a good swimmer.

RENEWAL COURSES FOR:

LIFEGUARD TRAINING

#22 Dates and Times:  Friday, May 13th from 5:30-10pm and Sunday, May 15th from 1-5pm.           Cost is $120.00.

#24 Dates and Times: Tuesday, May 18th and Thursday, May 19th from 5:30-10pm.  Cost is $120.00.

Requirements:  Show old certification card.  This renewal course will include First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.  Bring your own mask. New mask is $15.00 additional cost.

#26 WATERFRONT RENEWAL

Training for Lifeguards working at a beach or lakefront.  This class is taken at the end of Lifeguard training renewal class.  Cost is $40.00

NEW 2-YEAR CERTIFICATIONS

#33 CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER:  Starts Friday, May 13th at 5:30pm.   Cost is $75.00 (includes mask)

#34 CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER:  Starts Friday, May 13th at 5:30pm.   Cost is $60.00 if you have your own mask.

#36 CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER:  Starts Tuesday, May 17th at 5:30pm.      Cost is $75.00 (includes mask)

#37 CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER:  Starts Tuesday, May 17th at 5:30pm.      Cost is $60.00 of you have your own mask.

#44 LIFEGUARD TRAINING FOR FIRST TIME LIFEGUARDS:  

Starts May 13th-19th at 5:30pm.  Class size is limited.  Please register early.  Classes are first come, first serve.  NO EXCEPTIONS!  For more information contact Dave Drouse at (570)348-3479.

 Cost is $175.00 and includes CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard Training)  Requirements:  You must be at least 15 years old, be a strong swimmer and capable of swimming 300 yards.

#55 WATERFRONT LIFEGUARDING:  Starts May 13th-19th at 5:30pm.  For more information contact Dave Drouse at (570)348-3479.

Cost is $215.00 and includes CPR/AED, First Aid, Lifeguard Training and Waterfront Lifeguarding.  Requirements:  You must be at least 15 yrs old, be a strong swimmer and capable of swimming 550 yards.
