Our History

The American Red Cross of Lackawanna County was founded September 26, 1916. It first opened at 424 North Washington, moving to 545 Jefferson Avenue in 1942 when Mr. Fenwick L. Peck and his family donated their lovely home to the American Red Cross.

The house, built in 1902, is a Colonial Revival Style with 17 rooms and 11 fireplaces.  Stained glass windows, marble mantles, and mahogany and oak are prevalent throughout this two and one half story house.
